I was born and raised in Royal Oak Michigan. I now reside in Novi with my wife and two children with the full intention of permanently residing within the great State of Michigan. I graduated from Royal Oak Kimball High School and later graduated from Indiana University at Bloomington.
As a younger man I competed in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. I went on to represent our nation in numerous international events. I was a four time Junior National champion (under age 20) and a one time National champion (over age 20). I often contemplated the real life benefits of competitive sport. Competitive sport trains a young mind to handle success, fear, uncertainty, and most importantly, failure.
